1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Sells for $60,000 on Bring a Trailer

Motive Archive was proud to represent this 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which sold for $60,000 on Bring a Trailer on June 8, 2026. Finished in Grand Prix White over Pearl White leather, the car showed 132k miles at the time of sale.

The later 3.2 Carrera pairs its air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six with the G50 five-speed manual transaxle introduced for 1987. In this example, the M930/25 engine was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, with power sent to the rear wheels.

The Grand Prix White exterior is complemented by 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels with body-color centers and a replacement dark blue soft top. Additional equipment includes integrated fog lights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, cruise control, power windows and locks, and R134a-based air conditioning.

The Pearl White leather cabin features power-adjustable front seats, a black dashboard, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and VDO instrumentation. The factory Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 cassette stereo remained in place but was disconnected, and a Viper alarm system had been added.

Service performed in 2024 included replacement spark plugs and wires, a distributor cap and rotor, fuel and air filters, a DME relay, battery, and oxygen sensor. The G50 transaxle fluid was also changed. The car was offered with service records, manufacturer's literature, a Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title.
